Social Events
The Social Department focuses on creating opportunities for members to connect and build community within the UBC Astronomy Club. We organize a variety of social events throughout the year, from casual member gatherings to larger collaborative events with other clubs and organizations on campus. These events provide a relaxed space for members to meet new people, spend time together, and enjoy the community side of the club beyond astronomy itself. Monthly Member Socials
Casual gatherings for club members to relax, connect and enjoy the community side of the UBC Astronomy Club. You can often find these socials on the HEBB rooftop along with snacks, conversations and great views of the night sky.
Movie Nights
Space themed film screenings hosted throughout the year, often in collaboration with other UBC clubs. From sci-fi classics to traditionally popular interstellar screenings, these nights bring member together through their love for cinema and science.
