  • What is this object that I saw in the night sky?
If you see something and the night sky and would like to know more about it, we would recommend using applications like Stellarium for Web, Stellarium Mobile on Google Play Store, and NighSky on iOS to see a realistic 3D map of the night sky and identify the objects you see.
  • Where can I see the Northern Lights?
The Northern Lights can be quite unpredictable at our latitude, and be hard to spot due to the light pollution and weather conditions in the city. We would recommend using forecasting applications like My Aurora Forecast to stay updated on any opportunities to catch the Northern Lights at your location. You can also check NOAA's forecast for the Northern Lights that updates regularly.
  • When is the club’s next observation event?
Since observation events are super weather dependent, we usually announce them at a short notice. We recommend joining our Discord server or turning on post notifications on Instagram to get push notifications for upcoming events.
